With an interviewer
using picture cards, answer questions that demonstrate an
ability to identify correct disposal of hazardous materials
and explain the correct separation of items into recyclable
and non-recyclable color coded cans.
(Use 8-10 picture
cards)

and appropriate.

Write a letter
to a waste disposal service provider or landlord asking
for or changing recycling services for your residence. Choose
one of the situations below.
- Prompt #1: Richard Alvarez
is the owner of your apartment building. There are only
two brown garbage cans and one blue can for the six
apartments in the building. People leave bags of garbage
next to the cans and there are many bottles and empty
soda cans in the parking lot. Write a leter to Mr. Alvarez
describing how you feel about this and ask him for more
garbage disposal and recycling services. Mr Alvarezs
address is 2431 East Lake, Watsonville, Ca 95076.
- Prompt #2: You have just
rented a house at 14 Brown Valley Road, Watsonville.
There are no garbage or recycling containers. You have
a lot of grass, trees and bushes on the property. Write
a letter to waste management asking for recycling services
to begin as soon as possible. You also want to know
cost and time of collection.
